454 km lie between Jablonec nad Nisou (CZ) and Kaufbeuren-Neuglabonz. The shared heritage of the two schools, the Czech School for Applied Art and the Bavarian State Vocational School for Glass and Jewellery, can be found in the story of their foundation. Over the course of the social and political upheaval of the 20th century, they evolved independently of one another. This joint exhibition, which showcases a varied cross-section of pieces of work from the recent past, marks the first encounter between the two schools.
