Arnold Hirschbühl was born in 1955 in Krumbach, Austria. He did agricultural studies in Bregenz/ Mehrerau and went to Higher Agricultural and Forestry School in Wieselburg. From 1978 he ran the agricultural operation of his parents until his son took over in 2007. Hirschbühl is the mayor of Krumbach since 1995. He is representative of „vau hoch drei,“ an initiative for public welfare-oriented spatial development in Vorarlberg, e5-team member for the Austrian Programme for Energy Efficient Communities and chairman of the association Kultur Krumbach. His focal points for the municipality of Krumbach are public participation, community development, spatial planning, architecture, energy, forest and culture.
