Claudia Kent

Claudia Kent has combined a bachelor in Fine Art Photography from Akademin Valand in Gothenburg 2016 with a bachelor in Gender Studies from Gothenburg University in 2017. For several years she has combined the artistic exploration of the portrayal of bodies, sex and gender expression with an academic persuit in understanding the social implications of diverting from norms surrounding gender and sexuality.

She is currently engaged in sexual politics and human rights and works as a sex educator for the Swedish Association for Sexual Education (RFSU). Claudias photography questions attributes that we apply to people based on our perception of their appearance, such as gender, age, ethnicity and ability. She focuses on how identities are created based on our desires and sexual practices.
