Nicole Lachenmeier
Information Designer




Nicole Lachenmeier (*1979) completed her degree in Visual Communication at the College of Design (HGK) in Basel. Continuing as a design researcher, she explored the documentation of invisible processes, based on qualitative and quantitative data. In her other job as an independent graphic designer, Nicole Lachenmeier has twice been awarded the ‘Most Beautiful Swiss Books’ award and nominated for the Lucky Strike Award.


With Darjan Hil, she has been running YAAY, an agency specialising in information design since 2011. Various awards followed through YAAY’s projects, including the OutOfBalance Award from the Bauhaus Foundation and Arch+, and the Information is Beautiful Award.
