Julian Nida-Rümelin

LMU München

Julian Nida-Rümelin is one of the most renowned philosophers in Germany alongside Jürgen Habermas and Peter Sloterdijk. The former State Minister for Culture teaches philosophy and political theory at the University of Munich, has written numerous books and offers precise, unbiased commentary on ethics, politics and other contemporary issues. He sparked a debate on the prioritisation of higher education over vocational training, triggered intensive discussions on the role of ethics in economic practice with his book “Optimierungsfalle”, and frequently addresses the link between ethics and urban architecture.
